Dozens Dead, Scores Injured after Explosion Rocked Ariana's Manchester Show

What began as a happy evening as fans trooped enmasse to witness US pop star Ariana Grandes' show in Manchester just turned into a nightmare after two explosions abruptly brought the show to end, leaving more than 19 persons and about 50 persons with various degrees of injuries.
The explosion which occurred outside the 21000 seater arena left many scrambling for safety.  According to an eye witness account to Britain's Press Association, "a huge bomb-like bang went off that hugely panicked everyone." The eye witness who has been identified as Majid Khan told the press that "it was a big bang and essentially everyone from the other side of the arena where the bang was heard from suddenly came running towards us as they were trying to exit."

It is yet to be ascertained whether the deceased died from injuries caused directly from the explosion or by the resulting stampede.

According to the statement released by the police, the police were called just about 10.35 pm local time to reports of the explosion at Manchester Arena. While the area has been taped off, and the injured being treated, the incident is being treated as terrorists attack unless otherwise deduced. This is according to the statement released by the police.

The police is thus advising the public to avoid area around the arena, and the nearby train station, Victoria Station.
