Alleged ISIS-linked Terrorist Shot Dead in Toronto, Canada

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has obviated a potential terrorist attack in the financial hub of the Country, Toronto after its officers took out a suspected ISIS-linked terrorist.

After a long investigation that began in 2014, the RCMP swiftly acted in the early hours of Thursday to "retire" a potential terrorist threat. The threat was identified as Aaron Driver, a Muslim convert who in 2014 pledged allegiance to ISIS. Through a moniker, Harun Abdourahman, Aaron tweeted support for the ISIS for which the RCMP invited him.

He was taken into custody in 2015 after concerns intensified that he may be planning a horrendous terror attack, but was released on bail after he was made to wear a GPS ankle bracelet, undergo religious counselling and enter a peace bond.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the deceased suspect was planning to use a homemade bomb to create mass causalities recently, prompting the indefatigable officers of the RCMP to take a "preventive" action. He had earlier on Wednesday posted a video, though masked, threatening to revenge "for the blood of Muslims".

A statement released by the RCMP revealed that the Police department received "a credible information of a potential terrorist threat" from the FBI.

"A suspect was identified and the proper course of action has been taken to ensure that there is no danger to the public's safety," the statement confirms.

Members of the deceased suspect's family have confirmed his death. 

Aaron Driver was 24 years at the time of his death, and was killed after the RCMP raided a property in Strathroy, 225km south-west of Toronto which he shared with the sister.
