Letter bombs are being discovered at the residences and offices of top democrats and liberals.
The news was was reported by New York Times when it stated that an explosive device was discovered in the mailbox of billionaire philanthropist, George Soros.
In less than two hours since the news was broken, it has further been reported again that a technician who sorts Bill and Hillary Clinton's mails also discovered an explosive device similar to that found at George Soro's mailbox.
In a similar event, President Barack Obama is also being targeted, as a similar device was delivered to the former president's office.
Fortunately, these mails were intercepted by Secret Service agents. According to a statement released by the Secret Service regarding the letter bombs addressed to Barack Obama and Bill Clinton,
“The packages were immediately identified during routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such.”The statement further reveals that a criminal investigation has been initiated, which is leveraging on " all available federal and state resources" to determine the source of the package and those responsible for it.
Given the similarity of modus, the threat to George Soros is expected to be part of the investigation.
George Soro, a billionaire migrant from Hungary made his fortune from hedge fund management, but has since dedicated half of his wealth to philanthropy. He is suspected by the far-right activists as sponsoring the "caravan" of South American immigrants flocking into United States.
