Reigning Miss Great Britain, Zara Holland, dethroned after having sex on Love Island

20-year old Zara Holland is no longer the reigning Miss Great Britain following her escapades on a set on the ITV2 show with fellow Love Island contestant, Alex Bowen, 24.


In an official statement released by the organization behind the Miss Great Britain beauty pageantry, Miss Great Britain Organization, it expressed it disappointment over Ms Zara's behavior, noting that the 20 year-old former Miss Hull "did not uphold the responsibility expected of the title".

The reason behind the dethronement was actually the s*x Zara shared with Alex. The statement released did not mince words in confirming this.

"Following the recent actions within the ITV2 show Love Island, it is with deep regret that we, the Miss Great Britain Organization, have announced that Zara Holland has formally been decrowned as Miss Great Britain."

Although Zara was contrite after the incident as she expressed her "disappointment" with herself over the incident, that did not stop the organization from "decrowning"her. Expressing her regrets over the incident, Zara noted that "that's really not like me at all. Why couldn't we have just gone to sleep?" However, the organization understood that everyone "makes mistakes, but Zara, as an ambassador for Miss Great Britain, simply did bot uphold the responsibility expected of the title."

The Miss Great Britain has been offered to the runner-up at the contest, Miss Deone Robertson, the reigning Miss Scotland.
