President Buhari Travels To The UK For A 10-Day Medical Check-Up

President Muhammadu Buhari is off to the United Kingdom for a 10-day medical rest. This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.



The statement reads “President Muhammadu Buhari will take 10 days off and travel to London on Monday June 6th to rest.During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection. The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated.
Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution.”

The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, would step in as the acting president within the period of the president's absence.
