Nigerian Pop artist, Reekado Banks goes solo, leaves Mavin Record

Reekado Banks leaves Mavin Records after his contract with the record label ends
After 5 years with the Don Jazzy-led record label, Reekado Banks will no longer be part of the label. This comes after his 5 years contract with Mavin Records terminates.

This is not a fractious break-up has been witnessed so many times in the Nigerian music industry, where record labels and their signee artists fallout, most times on allegation of record labels short-changing their artists. Instead, Reekado Banks saw out his contract.

Talented Reekado Banks was literally discovered by Don Jazzy five years ago following a talent hunt by Don Jazzy after the split of MoHits records.

Reekado Banks took to his Instagram page to announce his decision to leave the record label. He had gone ahead to create his own record label, Banks Music.

Regarding his exit from Mavin records, he wrote thus:
