The revelation was made through a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara, by the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle. According to the letter, Mohammed Gololo representing one of the constituencies in Bauchi State and elected under the ruling APC platform, sexually assaulted a housekeeper of the hotel in which he lodged by grabbing her by the buttocks and solicited for sex from her.

Hon. Samuel Ikon and Hon. Mark Gbillah were on their part accused of asking the hotel's parking lot attendants to help them secure the services of prostitutes.
According to the State of Ohio laws, it is a crime to solicit a person to engage in sexual activity in exchange for money (Ohio Rev. Code 2907.24). While sexually assault of any kind, rape or attempted rape is highly prohibited as both a Federal law and State law. Therefore, by these alleged acts, these three Nigerian lawmakers is alleged to committed criminal offences in United States, but for their immunity as foreign missions at the time the offences were alleged to have been committed.
