Another mishap on air: passenger dies aboard Emirates flight

A man is alleged to have died aboard Emirates flight en-route Manchester from Dubai Monday morning.


It is alleged that the deceased whose identity is yet to be disclosed took ill before boarding the flight at Dubai International Airport, but died before the flight could get to its destination - Manchester.

The incident was confirmed by officials of Emirates, who released a statement to this regard while condoling the family of the deceased.

"Emirates can confirm that a passenger on board today's flight EK 21 from Dubai to Manchester passed away during the flight... Emirates expresses its condolences to the family," the statement reads.

The cause of the death is yet to be disclosed but upon landing at Manchester Airport at 7.30am, a team of medical personnel was on hand to attend to the deceased but was confirmed to have died before the Boeing 777 landed at the airport.

The Police is not suspecting any foul play, as the Great Manchester Police was also at the scene to carryout preliminary investigations but ruled out any suspicious circumstances.

The matter is currently being handled by Emirates as of the time of reporting.
