China Warns United States To Steer Clear Of The South China Sea




1.4million Square Mile of The Economically Viable Zone is still being claimed by China, and Beijing Thursday sent a stern warning to the US to steer clear of the zone, or expect retaliation.


A senior Chinese Government Official Made this known while briefing newsmen in Beijing. "The Chinese people do not want to have war, so we will be opposed to [the] U.S. if it stirs up any conflict," said Liu Zhenmin, vice minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "Of course, if the Korean War or Vietnam War are replayed, then we will have to defend ourselves." He said.

Over the past weeks, China has a growing military presence in the region, and also reclaiming lands and constructing airfields on the disputed zone.

Just last Tuesday, Two Chinese Military Airplanes Intercepted and flew 50 meters near a US military reconnaissance plane.
