The former minister described the audio tape as an attempt to 'deceive, lock horns as well as sully her name'
Below is an official statement released today by her Media Adviser, Paul C Nwabuikwu.
""It has come to our attention that an audio recording of a woman pretending to be Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been circulating on various online platforms. In the contrived audio, the impostor makes several claims and expresses certain views which have absolutely nothing to do with Dr Okonjo-Iweala. Anyone familiar with the former Finance Minister can confirm that the voice, the diction and the views are not hers. The Nigerian public and media should take note and avoid being deceived by this inept and ridiculous gimmick.
Thank you."
