THE TRANSCONTINENTAL LOVE-STORY: LOVE MADE IN CANADA

What began as a professional relationship culminated in tying the nuptial knot. This is the love story of Royal Anosike and Chinonyerem Ezeala (as she then was). Initially as classmates in the Law Faculty of Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, then exco members of the Christian Law Students' fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON), IMSU chapter.

On identifying the quality inherent in Chinonyerem Ezeala, Royal was quick to propose to the pretty and intelligent Chinonyerem at Rennys FastFood, Ikenegbu, Owerri, Nigeria. Just like every other impromptu proposal, "Nono", as she is fondly called, was surprised and short of words. As a result, she told Royal to hold on while she mulls over it.  The wait turned from minutes to days to months, and at last she said yes!!! YES to the beginning a new chapter in their lives.
She was committed, rejecting all suitors that came her way. She kept faith in her "fiance," despite their being "near age mates", colleagues, and of the same social strata and class. Royal had no money, he was practically the least eligible to capture the heart of this damsel if money and financial status were to be a condition for eligibility. What a commitment. And the Story continues. All these were in Nigeria.

And it came for them to seek greener pastures, further their studies and lead better life. But they sought for one thing before they traveled: that they be lawfully and happily wedded. All that happened now remain in the past. But in summary, the story was not juicy. There were challenges, hard times, but each party preserved. Remained committed to the desire of living happily together.

In Europe, the relationship was strained. Both parties were hurt. However, not by their making, but by some external factors. And this continued till both parties found themselves in Canada.

But true love never dies. On the 7th day of February, 2016, they were united as man and wife at Chapel De La Resurrection, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.
