Tekashi 6ix9ine arrested and transferred to new facility for "security reasons"

Tekashi 6ix9ine whose real name is Hernandez Daniel was arrested on Sunday 18 November 2019 after he was indicted on racketeering and firearms charges.

6ix9ine is among five people indicted this week on charges that he participated in violent acts and being a member of a deadly gang known as the 9 Trey Bloods.

The charges against 6ix9ine includes a July shooting of a bystander in New York, Brooklyn and a gunpoint robbery of a member of a rival gang last spring.

6ix9ine was initially held without bail at Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Centre in Sunset Park after his arraignment appearance before a magistrate, but has been transferred out of the Centre to an undisclosed location upon his request.

He had sought to be kept in facility away from the "Crips and the Bloods" after he received threats from inmates.

If convicted, it is possible that he will spend the rest of days in jail as the offences he is charged with carry between 25 to life terms.

6ix9ine has had a series of criminal proceedings against him. He was convicted and sentenced to probation for his involvement in a sexual explicit video in 2015 involving a 13 year old girl when he was 18. He also recently pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in connection with a traffic stop incident in May. This includes driving without a licence, assaulting a police officer and obstructing governmental administration.

He has been involved also in shooting as it was claimed that he was the target of shots fired earlier this month on set of his and Kanye West's upcoming music video in Beverly Hills.

Also, TMZ is reporting that 6ix9ine ordered the attack of Chief Keef's cousin, days before Chief Keef narrowly missed being shot.

There are indications that investigations into the activities of the 9 Trey Bloods had been ongoing by the FBI and the recent arrest of 6ix9ine was rather a protective measure than prosecutive. Word on the street is that 6ix9ine was already a mule for the FBI hence the sack of his management to cover up 6ix9ine's role with the law enforcement. Only time will tell!
