One Woman Dead, and about 10 Injured in Russell Square Attack

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that a knife-wielding man who attacked and injured about 15 persons with one person already confirmed dead has been taken into custody after being tased. The attack was at the Russell Square close to the British museum.

The Metropolitan Police received the call at about 22.33 BST, while the suspect was taken into custody at 22.59 BST. 

The deceased victim was treated at the scene of the crime after an emergency ambulance was deployed, but she was later confirmed dead. The fate of other injured victims are not confirmed yet.

Terrorism is being explored as a possible motive a statement released by the police confirms.
