When the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi wore the suit to meet with President Obama when the later visited India in January 2015, he was mocked.
However the same suit that elicited mockery has now broken the Guinness world record for most expensive suit ever auctioned. The Modi pin-stripped suit has subtle gold stripes. However, it has been revealed that the gold stripes are not lines but tiny engraved names of the Prime Minister: "Narendra Damodardas Modi"
