Students of Federal University Of technology, Owerri and Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri took to the street yesterday to protest on the bad roads leading to their schools. The students of both schools, situated a few kilometers apart from each other,along the popular Ihiagwa-Nekede road, took to the streets singing and chanting solidarity songs whilst marching to the Imo State Government House to call on the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to come to their aid. They had various banners, one of which reads "Going to Owerri through Ihiagwa-Nekede Road is a nightmare".
