Nigeria: Kidnappers Of Kwara State APC Chairman Demand N50 million Ransom



The kidnappers of Hon Ishola Balogun- Fulani, who is the APC Chairman, Kwara State Nigeria and Chief Bode Adekanye, Secretary, have made contact and are demanding a ransom of N50 million.



According to sources, the abductors made contact Friday and had allowed the party chiefs speak with their family members. The duo was kidnapped Friday evening while returning to ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria after an assignment in Abuja.

A close associate to Adekanye, who pleaded anonymity said that the family of the two party chieftains have offered N10 million to the kidnappers, which they accepted., Vanguard Newspapers gathered.

The Governor of the State, Abdulfatah Ahmed while briefing newsmen described the kidnapping of the party chiefs as "atrocious, despicable and unfortunate".  He also urged anyone with useful information that could help secure the release of the party chiefs to contact the relevant security agencies.
