Armed Man With Gun Gets Shot By Secret Service Agents Near The White House

The White House, as well as the treasury building was on a lockdown yesterday afternoon following a shooting around 3 pm local time.

Secret Service agents engaged the suspect and shot him in the abdomen after he brandished a weapon towards them. Security level was said to have been downgraded after it reached a code red. As reported via the US park Police twitter account, the operations were focused 30 meters near the White House.
President Barack Obama was not in the White House when the incident took place.

Suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment, and would soon be interrogated.
