There has been a lot of exposure to condom and its uses. As a matter of fact, there is likely no adult who does not know what a condom is or look like. The present day condom is invariably made of latex and most times cannot be used more than once, except of a few; and thanks to the activities of some agencies especially in the health and safety field of human endeavour, condoms are affordable. This position is as a result of human altruistic endeavours which aim at ending some ravaging diseases that can be prevented and controlled by the use of condoms.
Although the use of condom is age-long, there is a remarkable distinction between the "old" models of condoms and the new ones. I am yet to ascertain the precise evolution of condoms, but history has it that as at drawing inference from cave writings, condoms Dudley Castle could have been used in the 1600s AD.
were already in use as at 1000BC, so also does the paintings at Combarelles, France reveal. The veracity of this claim is yet to be ascertained by me, however, during the war between King Charles 1 of England and Cromwell, condoms were already in use. Further to that, there archaeologists believe that the Condoms found in Lund, Sweeden and Dudley Castle could have been used in the 1600s AD.

One thing that is quite striking is that those condoms were not made of latex, but of sheepskin, pigskin, pig or sheep intestines, as well as the intestines of fishes. Very strange, though. They also came with user manuals. Very funny, presumably a booklet containing leaves and pages in Latin of how to use and wash the condoms after use: archaeologists make us believe that these condoms were only washed in milk in order to preserve their efficacy. Another funny thing.
Following the above adumbration, it is therefore a joyful thing to announce that one of those condoms have recently being sold in an online auction via catawiki for £462. The condom is made of sheep intestine, and measures about 19cm long. It is also reusable. This is actually a collector's item.
If I were the buyer, I will not use the condom with anybody apart from the woman I love most (assuming if I were a man).
