Arsenal Football Club grossed in the highest revenue for the 2015/2016 Barclays Premeir League campaign despite missing out as Champions

Gunners, Arsenal
Figures released by the Premier League relating to the central income payments for the 2015/2016 premiership session sees Arsenal FC claiming the largest chunk of the payment with a total of 100, 952, 257 British Ponds Sterling despite finishing second to the champions Leicester City F.C.

Arsenal as a club has broken so many records in the premier league and also achieved feats no club in the Premiership has equaled. In the 2004-2005 league session, the "Invincibles" of Arsenal proceeded to claim the title without losing any game in the campaign, winning 26 games and drawing 12 of their games to be crowned the champions. No English club had come near to equal an unbreakable record. However, that was also the last session Arsenal lifted the trophy. The 2015/2016 Premiership title chase would make it a decade and one Arsenal would compete in vain for the title, and in most cases finishing within the first-four bracket.

However, despite the Premier League trophy drought, the club continues to maintain a positive financial posture by grossing in income from T.V rights, corporate sponsorship, etc.

Earning from TV. Rights

The payments made by the Premier League showed that a total of 1,638,805,918 British Pounds Sterling was shared among all teams that played in the league for the season, being revenue mainly generated from T.V right, that is, from money paid by media houses for broadcasting live matches of the league.

Premiership Clubs 2015/2016 season
Out of the total amount shared, each club collected 21,924,800 Pounds Sterling equally as an equal share of some parts of the earnings notwithstanding the media coverage of their matches or their performance in the league. This sum represents the media rights for media coverage within UK (UK Live). Also shared equally is the media rights from oversea media coverage. Under this category, each club also received an equal amount of 29,415,848 British Pounds Sterling.

According to the formula, the UK Live total payment, which for this season was 438,496,000 Pounds Sterling, represents 25% of the revenue generated by the League from the broadcast of each premier league match within the United Kingdom. And it should be shared equally as had been done for the 2015/2016 session.

However, all the income generated by international broadcast of all the premier league matches are shared among the clubs with none going to the League (Football Association or FA) for use in another category of payments. The figure released reveals that 588,316,960 Pounds Sterling was earned and each club collected 29,415,848.

Described as the "most equitable" mechanism for distributing revenue by Football Associations (FAs) by premierleague.com, and based on the Agreement of the Founder Members of the Premier League, Leicester City pocketed a whooping sum of 24,848,100 Pounds Sterling for wining the league. However, that did not earn it the highest pay as Arsenal, the first runner up to the title, collected the lion share of all distributed payments, totaling approximately 100 Million Pounds Sterling.

Wenger, Arsenal's Manager
With this earning, ARSENAL FC, managed by the indefatigable manager, Arsene Wenger, has broken yet another record in addition to the deafening unbeaten run record and never-relegated-before record, as the first club to reach the milestone of 100 Million receipt from the league. However, this income does not include income from sale of tickets to fans for live viewing, from sponsors and sell of players shirts and other expositions.

Congratulations Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.
